After a whole year in the making, Alex Gonzaga‘s makeup collection with Issy & Co. is finally making its debut! Described as a love letter to her fans, this collection was developed with them and their needs in mind. Alex wanted to give them a piece of her they could take home, so she took her luxury makeup go-to’s and made them affordable without sacrificing quality.
We sat down with Alex to talk about the blood, sweat, and tears that went into making this 3-piece collection possible, but of course we had to take it out for a spin too!
This liquid lipstick-balm hybrid is a godsend for dry lips, Alex even said it herself! The formula is unlike any other we’ve tried—it’s lightweight, highly pigmented, ultra-hydrating, and minimizes lip texture. How’d they fit all that in one tube?
Though, for someone who swatches whole lipstick collections back-to-back, the best part is how it dries down to a gorgeous semi-matte, but somehow maintains the ability to keep my lips hydrated. We can thank the ingredients rose hip oil and vitamin e for that one!
The formula isn’t entirely transfer-proof, but it does make up for that in staining power. Unlike other liquid lipsticks, this one fades evenly across your lips and leaves a matte pigment that doesn’t flake or look patchy.
It comes in 6 flattering shades: Babe, Romcom, Fiancée, Smoked Blush, Rose Brown, and Private.
The worst thing about having to review this blush is having to swatch it, because it looks so damn good untouched. This is the first product of Issy & Co. made with crystal packaging, and it’s one stunner of a display piece.
Another thing to love about the Creme Blush is the lightweight and sheer consistency of the formula. When you warm this up on your fingertips it turns buttery and soft, making it easy to apply on your cheeks. It’s also buildable, so you need not worry about using too much or too little.
But you know what the best part is, according to Alex? It doesn’t stain your fingers! Alex said she’s been a victim of liquid blushes that are hard to blend and leave a mark on your hands which isn’t a good look, so that was a make-or-break in finalizing the formula.
No two blushes are alike in this shade range, so there’s something for everyone. It comes in 5 color: Femme Rose, Good Girl, Fever, Stunner, and Scandal.

Unlike blush or lipstick, highlighter isn’t something we’d usually see in someone’s makeup bag, but for Alex it’s a must. According to her, “it makes you look fancier without trying too much,” which is why she chooses to accentuate her nose line and lips with the slim tip.
Unlike other highlighters, this one doesn’t glitter and beam. Instead, it gives off a pearlescent sheen that creates the illusion of glassy skin. If you’re a fan of dewy-looking skin, popping on a second layer will make your cheeks look naturally wet.
Personally, I’m an advocate for highlighting everywhere, so I appreciate the choice to do a slim component instead of a chubby stick. It makes it so much easier to apply on the brow bone, inner corner of the eye, nose bridge, and cupid’s bow!
This comes in 3 ethereal shades: Cosmic, Celestial, and Stellar.
