If you think Selena Gomez is going to stop at just making bops with K-pop girl groups this 2020, you are dead wrong. In case you haven’t been in the loop, it was announced months prior that she’s joining the long list of celebs that have launched their own cosmetics line. But with Rare Beauty, it’s something bigger than just makeup.
With Rare Beauty comes the Rare Impact Fund—an initiative to raise $100 million in the next decade to support mental health services. According to the website, “From the first Rare Beauty product sold onward, one percent of all sales, as well as funds raised from partners, will be dedicated to the Rare Impact Fund that aims to increase access to mental health resources.”
Launching her first ever line with Sephora, Selena not only helps uplift the community through mental health awareness, but also aims to break down unrealistic standards and produce makeup that every person will feel good in without hiding what makes one unique. That being said, her debut collection is nothing short of impressive.
